With Mill falling out of favor in the current meta due to the prevalence of aggro, Delirium has found a nice strength in Magic Duels. We don't have Emrakul, the Promised End, Grim Flayer, or Traverse the Ulvenwald, and the rarity restrictions means we can't reliably draw our exact cards, but Grapple with the Past and Vessel of Nascency help you dig them out. Update: This archetype won Grand Prix Providence, with 4 out of the top 8 playing very similar lists. Of course we don't have Emrakul, the Promised End, but the deck still packs quite a punch with the ability to destroy your opponent's hand and creatures. NotesThis archetype played by Abe Schnake took 3rd place at SCG Indianapolis. Rakdos Vampire/Madness made the Top 4 as well. Boros and Mardu Vehicles remain strong, but Golgari Delirium made a very strong showing, claiming 4 spots out of the Top 8. No new deck lists to add, but the meta has still been shifting.

*UPDATE 2* Grand Prix Providence finished.

Feel free to do your own testing and make adjustments to fit your own styles. These lists are only my interpretations of the decks played by the pros. As always, remember that the many differences between paper Magic and Magic Duels mean some decks may not be as strong.

The first 7 lists reflect the Top 8 at the Pro Tour, with the only deck missing being Aetherworks Marvel, which we don't have access to in Magic Duels. *UPDATE* With the Grand Prix Atlanta and Pro Tour Honolulu tournaments for Kaladesh both completed, the guide has been updated to include new archetypes.

The meta is still freshly new and these lists are likely to evolve a bit as more ideas are explored and refined, but these decks are quite fun and very effective! Some of these decks draw inspiration from the recent Standard pool at SCG Indianapolis, so you may see some of your favorite professional contenders play versions of these archetypes on the circuit, and they will probably make an appearance at the Grand Prix or Pro Tours coming up this season. Others are decks that I have repeatedly faced at high ranks. Here are some of the decks that took me to Rank 40 and are currently keeping me there. : MTG Arena's viking themed expansion Kaldheim is launching on January 28, 2021. If you're tired of either being slowly milled out or quickly rushed down in Standard matches, today would be a pretty good day to give MTG Arena's Historic mode a try. I say this because Kadalesh Remastered, a mega set combining cards from Kaladesh and Aether Revolt, has now made its grand entrance. As for some of the overpowered and already banned cards like Felidar Guardian and Walking Ballista, those have thankfully not made a reappearance! Pro Tour Kaladesh is in the books and now its time to take a look at what decks emerged from the event as the best in the formatAll 8 Decklists: It brings with it plenty of artifacts and support for some unique deck archetypes, as well as some high-powered control tools like the Torrential Gearhulk that are sure to leave Blue players cackling with glee.

You can find the full list of cards, all neatly sorted by color, over at the official website. Even if you've already gone through the list before, I would still recommend giving it a second glance as the developers have added a bunch of new cards since the first reveal, including the always-fun Winding Constrictor. The final thing worth mentioning is that Kaladesh Remastered has a promo code: TryKaladesh. While it might look controlling at first blush, this deck dramatically varies from White-Blue Control with its inclusion of not only beatdown staples like Thraben Inspector, Smuggler’s Copter, and Selfless Spirit, but also old favorites like Reflector Mage and main-deck Spell Queller, and the often annoying Rattlechains. Unlike some of the other codes this one only gives you a single free Kaladesh Remastered pack, but I suppose even a small gift is better than literally nothing.
